-2021 Songs for a New World receives several awards through the IHSMTA in May 2021.
-2020 The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is chosen as Chapter Select at the Iowa Thespian Festival, and is featured with a highlight video on the Virtual International Thespian Festival in June 2020. Into the Woods is cancelled after being on hiatus for pandemic closures.
-2019 Casey Scott is elected to the Iowa Student Thespian Board, MARY POPPINS garners Distinguished Scene award for Jolly Holiday, and Special Recognition in a Lead Role awards for Esmee Belzer, JJ Pierce, and Bekah Riewerts from the IHSMTA. Record crowds at the Paul J. Holzworth Performing Arts Center for Mary Poppins, featuring Flying by Vertigo effects for Mary and Bert.
-2018 NHS's production of PETER AND THE STARCATCHER performs at the Iowa Thespian Festival at UNI in the fall. LES MISERABLES sets attendance records in the spring. LES MISERABLES garners multiple honors from the IHSMTA - Outstanding Musical Production, Outstanding Performer in a Lead Role (Abby Bastian, Meghann Hall, Emma Saskowski, Will Snowball), Special Recognition - Ensemble, Special Recognition in a Lead Role (Holden Conner, Pierce Howard, Zoe Purcell). JJ Pierce is elected to the Iowa Thespian Student Board.
-2017 Abigail Bastian qualifies to perform in the NIES at the International Thespian Festival in June 2017 with her solo musical performance of "Burn" from Hamilton by Lin-Manuel Miranda. NHS Drama's production of IN THE HEIGHTS wins multiple awards at the Iowa High School Musical Theatre Awards, including Special Recognition for Ensemble, Special Recognition for Featured Dancer: Nik La Maack, Special Recognition Performers Hannah DeFauw and Zoe Purcell, along with Outstanding Student Pit Orchestra, Outstanding Overall Production, and Outstanding Performances in a Lead Role by Abby Bastian, Isaiah Gibbs, and Josh Reid. Josh Reid was also the recipient of a scholarship to the Des Moines Performing Arts Summer Camp.
-2016 - Nik La Maack is elected to the 2016 Iowa Student Thespian Board, and Pierre Young qualifies to perform in the NIES at the International Thespian Festival in June 2016 with his solo musical theatre piece, "It's Hard to My Heart" from Parade by Jason Robert Brown. Davenport North hosts the Leadership Day on August 13.
