THE PERFORMING ARTS AT DAVENPORT NORTH
Davenport North High School is known for its outstanding programs in band, orchestra, choir, show choir, and drama. Students are exposed to a myriad of fine arts activities and organizations, and are able to take multiple and varied courses in the fine arts.
The performing arts faculty at Davenport North High School work together to create fun, award-winning, creative productions that truly showcase our students and their unique abilities. Directed by Leslie La Corte, Davenport North produces a straight play, a musical, a children's theatre production, children's theatre workshops, and student-directed scenes and one-act plays each year. The straight show and musical are directed by Mrs. La Corte; the children's production is directed by the talented Stephanie DeLacy. The musical production is directed by Mrs. La Corte while the choral direction is headed up by Mr. Ryan K. Riewerts, assisted by Mr. John Whitson. The pit orchestra is directed by Ms. Kaci Stirling, while Ms. DeLacy provides our beautiful and challenging choreography.
